Bishop Brossart High School Members

10th Region Hall of Fame
Brossart High School, formerly of the 9th Region, was realigned to the 10th Region by the
KHSAA beginning the 1996-97 school year.
Since then six players, two coaches, and one contributor have been inducted into the 10th
Region Hall of Fame - our region's highest honor.
Dave Schabell  -  1978 to Present
Inducted March 24th, 2009

Schabell was elected to the 10th Region Hall of Fame in the spring of 2009; was inducted into
the Distinguished Service wing of the Northern Kentucky Athletic Director's Association Hall of
Fame in October, 2009; the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in November of 2009; and
was inducted into the Brossart High School Athletics Hall of Fame in March of 2016.

During his tenure, the '65 Brossart grad has served as head coach to eleven Mustang
freshmen teams, winning 20 games in 1981-82.  He served a five year stint as Varsity Girls
Head Coach from 1986 through 1991 where his Lady Stangs compiled a 99-45 record,
including a 26-6 campaign
in 1986-87 which ended in the 9th Region Tournament
Semi-Finals, after winning the school's very first District

Dave has served under seven Mustang head coaches
dating back to Jon Quatman who hired him in 1978.  He is
presently the program's business manager in charge of
publicity, the website, Fund-Raising,
Anchors the Meridix Webcast Team, and serves as
Traveling Secretary when the Mustangs are on the road.    
Nathan Seiter   -  Player  -  1993-98
Inducted March 25th, 2003

Our leading all-time career scorer with 1779 points, despite sitting out
the majority of his junior season with a broken ankle.  Nathan played
in the 10th Region Championship game his senior year.  His team
finished that season with a 28-7 record.

Upon his graduation he held 12 school records.  11 of those still stand
today.  He accepted a walk-on position with NKU and scored 17
points vs Kentucky State in his first college game.

A "22" Nathan Seiter award is presented annually to a worthy
Mustang senior.
He was tragically killed in a single car accident on November 30th,
His Number 22 jersey was formally retired on December 23rd, 2005.
