Coach Nathan Mutsch and Matt Lloyd took over the Freshmen boys
program this year, following Mike Schack's retirement after twelve years
as the freshmen mentor.  Both Mutsch and Lloyd are Brossart graduates
and members of the 2007 All "A" State Championship team.

They were dealt a full group of twelve freshmen Mustangs and did a
great job indoctrinating them into the rigors of high school basketball and
the nuances of the Brossart Mustangs program.

The team finished with a winning season mark of 13-9, were 5-2 at
home, broke even (2-2) in district competition, and were 6-3 among
10th Region competition.  On the road they managed an 8-5 record, and
defeated all four independent teams they faced.

This team was led by the "Bell Cow" - Ethan Eilerman, who
accomplished the stunning feat of scoring in double-figures in each of his
22 games played.  He amassed 325 points on the season and led the
team with a 14.8ppg average

Ethan led the team from the charity stripe where he knocked down 71% of his attempts (72-101).  Blayke Kremer was
right there at 70% (52-74) and was the team's second leading scorer, putting 142 points on the scoreboard.
Alec Eilerman, Ethan's twin brother, was the team's Downtown Ollie Brown, hitting 23 3-pointers on the campaign.
Back to back strong Brossart freshmen classes with another on the horizon points to a bright future for the Brossart
Mustangs in the future.
