Girls Basketball Coaching Staff

VARSITY HEAD COACH STEVE BROWN

Coach Brown brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new position with the Mustangs having coached both boys and girls high school basketball for over 30 years. He started his coaching career in early 1980’s at Beechwood and has had stops at Campbell County, Boone County, St. Henry, and Scott High School.
 
Coach Brown has been the Girls Head Basketball Coach at Scott High School for the past three seasons where his team made it to the 10th Region Semifinals and he was named the 2021 KABC Coach of the Year for the 10th Region. Prior to that was the Girls Head Basketball Coach at St. Henry’s for two seasons where his teams made two All-A Regional finals appearances and advanced to the 9th Region tournament.
 
Coach Brown is recently retired from the United States Postal Service and he and his wife Sandy have three daughters.

Varsity Assistant Coach Bob Rowe

Bob Rowe is returning to the Brossart girls basketball coaching staff as a varsity assistant. Rowe, also the principal at Covington Catholic High School, has been on the coaching staff for several years. He was a long-time assistant with the Brossart boys basketball program as well as head baseball coach for 11 seasons.

Bob was named the first ever recipient of the Northern Kentucky High School Athletic Directors Association’s Stan Steidel Award to recognize local school administrators and athletic directors for their contributions to sports.

JV Head Coach Adam Franzen

Adam Franzen became the new JV Head Coach in 2021 after returning to Brossart in 2020.  He’s a familiar face, considering he graduated from Brossart in 2006 and was the BBHS Athletic Director from 2014-2016, before accepting a teaching position at Highlands.  Adam returned to Brossart in 2020, where he continues to teach Social Studies and Theology.

In his “spare time”, Adam has his own religious podcast “Come To The Table“.

Chad Clift

Freshman Head Coach Chad Clift

Chad Clift accepted the Freshman Head Coaching role after Garren Parker became the Head Coach in 2021.  Chad brings years of grade school coaching experience, and continues to coach all 3 of his girls.  

Athletic Trainer Madelyn Kim

Trainer Madelyn Kim is in her first year as the Brossart trainer, working in conjunction with St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine Health Care. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Thomas Moore.

Maddy will be present for all Mustangs and Lady ‘Stangs practices and home games, and is commissioned with the responsibility of treating our everyday aches, pains and also conducts some in-house rehab. She advises on major injuries, working in conjunction with the doctors at St. Elizabeth.
