Mustangs Walk-Off In 5-4 Win Over Scott In District Seeding Tilt

Junior Ian Frank singled home Keegan Gulley in the bottom of the ninth inning to put the Mustangs one up in the 37th District Seeding Race Monday evening at St. Mary.  Ben Volmer went eight innings on the mound, allowing 4 runs and 5 hits.  Alex Noe came on in the top of the ninth, allowing a single hit to earn the victory.  Keegan had another hot bat in this one going 3 for 4 with a run scored, which was the game winner.  Ben Doyle was 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Brossart trailed the Eagles 4-1 through four innings, before plating three runs in the home half of the sixth inning to knot the score that would send the game to extras.  The district seeding race will continue on Monday April 29th at Campbell County, and again on Monday, May 6th when we play Calvary Christian in Taylor Mill.

Junior Ian Frank, pictured above, did not play Varsity baseball a year ago, but made a huge impact Monday afternoon, singling home Keegan Gulley to solidify a Walk-Off Win in an Extra Inning District Seeding Battle with Scott.
