Girls Basketball & Coaching Staff

Steve Brown enters his second season as the Head Coach of the Lady Mustangs. Last year’s squad finished 22-12 and won the 10th Region All “A” title & advanced to the Elite 8 of the All “A” State Tournament for the first time since 2014. They completed the “3 Peat” as 37th District Champions and fell in the 10th Region Semi-Finals to Montgomery County. Coach Brown and his wife of 37 years, Sandy, reside in Union, KY and are members of Blessed Sacrament Church. They have 3 daughters.

Coach Brown brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to BBHS, having coached both boys and girls high school basketball for over 30 years. He started his coaching career in early 1980’s at Beechwood and has had stops at Campbell County, Boone County, St. Henry, and Scott High School.
 
Coach Brown has been the Girls Head Basketball Coach at Scott High School, where his team made it to the 10th Region Semifinals and he was named the 2021 KABC Coach of the Year for the 10th Region. Prior to that was the Girls Head Basketball Coach at St. Henry’s for two seasons where his teams made two All-A Regional finals appearances and advanced to the 9th Region tournament.
 
Coach Brown is recently retired from the United States Postal Service.

Lady Stangs Junior Varsity Head Coach, Adam Franzen

Adam Franzen is a 2006 graduate of BBHS, where he played basketball. He was a member of the boys basketball staff from 2008-15.  Adam joined the girls program in 2021 and is the JV Head Coach & Varsity Assistant.  He teaches Religion at BBHS and is a member of St. Mary Parish in Alexandria. Adam is married to his wife, Megan, and has three daughters who all attend St. Mary.

In his “spare time”, Adam has his own religious podcast “Come To The Table“.

Lady Stangs Freshman Head Coach, Chad Clift

Chad Clift enters his third year as the Freshman Girls Head Basketball Coach, amassing a 30-7 record over his first two seasons. Coach Clift has 10 years of coaching experience at the grade school and high school levels at both St. Mary and BBHS. He resides in Alexandria with his wife, Emily, and their three daughters. Coach Clift is a member of St. Mary Parish in Alexandria.

Lily is a 2020 graduate of Bishop Brossart, where she played basketball. She is majoring in Education at the University of Cincinnati. Lily attends St. Phillip, and is in her first season as an assistant coach.

Maddie Flaugher

Maddie is a 2017 graduate of Bishop Brossart, where she played basketball. She is a 2021 graduate of NKU, where she majored in Education. Maddie currently is in her third year of teaching at Northern Elementary in Pendleton County. She attended St. Mary and is in her fifth season as an assistant coach.

Mariah Frommeyer

Mariah is a 2019 graduate of Bishop Brossart, where she played basketball. She will graduate from NKU in December ’23 with a degree in Construction Management and plans to work for Duke Energy. Mariah attends St. Joseph in Cold Spring and is in her second season as an assistant coach.

Jordyn Rowe

Jordyn is a 2021 graduate of Bishop Brossart, where she played basketball and a member of the 10th Region Champs team at BBHS. She is majoring in Education at NKU. Lily attends St. Mary, and is in her first season as an assistant coach.
