Lady Stangs Start Season 3-0

The Lady Stangs continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 75-41 victory over Bellevue in the Mella Tip Off Classic, improving their record to 3-0. After a close first half, with Bellevue capitalizing on their free throws to stay within reach, the Lady Stangs led 34-27 at halftime. However, a dominant third quarter, highlighted by a 26-4 run driven by stifling defense and sharp shooting, sealed the game.

Senior Zoee Meyers was the standout performer, earning Player of the Game honors with a near triple-double of 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 steals. Freshman Kylie Smith showcased her consistency with 16 points, marking her third consecutive game in double figures. Junior Rachel Shewmaker also contributed significantly, scoring 14 points on an efficient 63% shooting.

The Lady Stangs now look forward to opening their home schedule on Monday, December 9th, against Mercy McAuley, with the JV game starting at 5:30 PM followed by the Varsity at 7:00 PM.
