I think that this speaks volumes about the respect that our program has earned among the other Northern Kentucky Schools over the years.  While you would like to think that politics does not enter into high school sports, it certainly does, and being members of a district comprised of non-Northern Kentucky schools, or being known as a 10th Region school, often makes it twice as tough for our guys to win this type of recognition.

Back in the early days of our school joining the 10th Region, we worked very hard to become good citizens of the 10th.  While we had nothing to do with our realignment there in 1996, early on there was resentment towards our intrusion on what many viewed a “good old boy” region who valued their status and resented change.  It wasn’t until I was elected into the 10th Region Hall of Fame in 2009 that I finally felt that we had arrived and had gained acceptance, at least on the surface,

Congratulations to Coach Paul WIggins and our players for earning these prestigious awards!!!
