As another football season kicks off, we are embracing change in more ways than one. From the sidelines to the broadcast booth and even behind the scenes, the 2026-2027 school year marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Mustang fans.
Perhaps the most noticeable change on Friday nights will be what fans hear. Adam Noe takes over as the new voice of Bishop Brossart football, bringing you play-by-play broadcasts. He’ll be joined throughout the season by Patrick Blair and a few volunteer color commentators, giving listeners new perspectives while continuing the tradition of bringing Mustang football to fans wherever they are. Those broadcasts will also be heard on a new platform. After years of using Meridix, Bmustangs is making the move to Mixlr. The new platform offers a more reliable listening experience, improved audio quality, and additional features that make it easier than ever for fans to follow the Mustangs from home, on the road, or anywhere in between. You’ll find instructions for creating a Mixlr account and following bmustangs below.
When the football season ends, Mixlr will continue to serve as our broadcasting platform for basketball. After broadcasting hundreds of Bishop Brossart athletic events over the years, Dave “Schabs” Schabell plans to scale back his schedule beginning this season. Schabs will continue to call all home boys basketball games, while additional volunteers may step up to cover away boys basketball games, girls basketball games, and other sporting events. His continued presence ensures fans will still hear a familiar voice, while creating opportunities for a new generation of broadcasters to become part of the Mustang tradition.
Fans will also notice a new home for schedules, scores, rosters, and team information. Arbiter will replace Riherds/KHSAA Scoreboard (LinkNKY story), which has been around since 1998. Information on Arbiter will be entered directly by athletic directors and coaches, providing fans with up-to-date information for every varsity sport, along with many junior varsity and freshman teams where schools choose to include that information.
On the field, the Mustangs will have new leadership as well. Bishop Brossart alum Jake Martin, a member of the Class of 2017, returns to his alma mater as the new head football coach. Martin brings a passion for the program and a firsthand understanding of what it means to wear the Mustang uniform. His return represents an exciting opportunity to build on the program’s tradition while leading the next generation of Bishop Brossart football players.
While change often brings new opportunities, the goal remains the same: providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes, families, and fans. Whether you’re listening on Mixlr, checking scores and rosters through Arbiter, or cheering from the stands, the 2026-2027 seasons promise to be the start of an exciting new era for Bishop Brossart Athletics.

Setting Up Your Mixlr Account
Mixlr offers several advantages for a high school sports broadcast compared with older streaming platforms like Meridix. The move to Mixlr means a more modern and fan-friendly way to follow games while giving broadcasters the tools to deliver a better overall experience.

- Visit Mixlr.com (opens in a new tab)
- Choose a username, enter your email address, and create a password
- Mixlr will send an activation code to the email address provided in step 2
- Enter that activation code
- Once logged in, search for bmustangs in the search bar
- Look for the “Follow” option to follow all bmustangs broadcasts
