Since its inception in December of 2001, bmustangs has been the home of Bishop Brossart Boys Basketball news. While that has been the primary focus, other “buzz” around campus also found its way to the site.
As we all know, technology doesn’t slow down for anyone, so we found ourselves in a bit of a pickle and had to make some adjustments. Just shy of the 20th anniversary, we decided to give it a little TLC and we hope to provide you with a better experience. Change can sometimes be a good thing, if you give it a little bit of time.
You’ll notice the obvious changes…like the color scheme, buttons, background color, etc. but also that information will be easier to find. A new menu takes you to some of the main pages, which then link you to related pages. Although the new site has launched, we will still be bringing the content over from the old site, one page at a time. So if a link doesn’t work yet or you notice information is missing from the website, it’s the way.
For those of us who need larger text, or a dark background and white lettering, the icon of the man with stretched arms at the upper right is your friend. By clicking on him you will have many visual options. Click on “Increase Text” and it will do just that. Click on “Increase Text” multiple times and it will continue to resize the text. Click on the “High Contrast” option and it will change the background color, which may make reading the text easier for you. As I become more familiar with the operations of the site, I will begin to use background colors and change fonts – but for now, that is down the road. The good news about the Text Edit Icon is that at the bottom of the selection list is an option called “Reset”, which does just that and returns the page to the way you found it.
Bear with us, as with all new things, its going to take us awhile to restore some of our “old reliable” sections, but I promise you this – Give us a couple of weeks, I will at least become somewhat proficient at it.
