Boys Soccer is STATE-BOUND for only the 3rd time in school history (’04 & ’13) after a dominating 3-0 win over the Campbell County Camels on Saturday! Tyler Smith notched another hat trick, scoring on an indirect kick, penalty kick and a 22 yard lob over the Camel’s goalie. Senior keeper Michael Cooney and the Mustangs defense recorded their 12th shutout of the season (previous record: 10). Seniors Michael Cooney & Tyler Smith, along with Sophomore Max Runge were named to the All-Tournament Team (pictured).

The Mustangs move on to the first round of State, facing the 20-2-1 Ryle Raiders on Monday 10/16, right here at the MAC!

Prior to Saturday’s game, Seniors Tyler Smith (1st Team Midfielder), Carter Goodman (2nd Team Defender) and Ryan Clines (Honorable Mention) were recognized by the Northern Kentucky High School Boys Soccer Coaches Association (NKHSBSCA).  Senior Michael Cooney was voted Defensive Player of the Year, while Tyler Smith was voted Offensive Player of the Year.  Senior Brennen Callahan and Junior Alex Runge made the Region 10 1st Team.  Great Job, Gentlemen!
