Coach Kozerski Unveils 2025 Varsity Football Schedule

Coach Kozerski Has Released the 2025 Football Schedule, and there is quite a shakeup/upgrade to it.  Without his saying a word, he has spelled out his expectations of this program to continue to advance just by looking at this year’s docket.

You don’t have to go far to see the first challenge, scheduling scrimmages with 6A Boone County and 5A Scott.  The Boone County scrimmage will be at the MAC on August 8th at 7pm, and we will travel to Scott for the second one, on Friday, August 15th, also at 7pm.

Walton-Verona, Nicholas County, Holy Cross (District), Ludlow (District), and Trimble County (District), as well as Pendleton County in the Battle of US27 are all returnees.  Paris is no longer an opponent, nor is Lloyd, North College Hill or Pineville.

Sayre, the Class 1A Undefeated State Champions will grace us with their presence on Friday the 25th of August, which I perceive to be a highly anticipated matchup.  We will travel to St. Henry to take on the first year 2A Crusaders in Erlanger, and the Bracken County Polar Bears, a former district foe who were a scrimmage opponent a year ago, will play for keeps here in Alexandria on Friday, September 12th.  Louisville DeSales is an interesting addition.  The 4A Colts played into the third round of the postseason a year ago.  We will make the trek to the Derby City on Friday September 26th for a 7:30pm contest.  Our Bye Week this year will be Week 7 on Friday, October 3rd, which the Boys Basketball Program will attempt to secure for our Annual Euchre tournament.  District play will see Holy Cross come to the MAC.  We will go to Ludlow, and to Trimble County in Weeks 8, 9, and 10, with the Battle of US27 with Pendleton County taking place here at the MAC to round out the regular season on Thursday, October 30th.  Playoffs will begin on November 7th .

Brian Kuntz and Joe Schuck will be taking over from me in the broadcast booth this season
