Game Day – Class 1A, District 5 Top Seed At Stake vs Paris At Blanton Collier Stadium Friday Night

Mustangs Seek Repeat of Class 1A, District 5 Top Seed, With Win Over Paris Friday Night at Paris

Friday, October 15th at 7:30pm vs Paris

GAME TIME – 7:30pm at Blanton Collier Stadium

AIR TIME – Meridix – 7:10PM

Bad weather and the Mustangs are expected to arrive in Paris at about the same time Friday night.  We are no strangers to inclement conditions, having outlasted a downpour in Newport and surviving last week’s pre-game localized storm in Brooksville.  Both of those encounters went into the win column.

Broadcastwise, I don’t know what obstacles we will face tonight.  I can only promise you that we will do our very best to get you a good, live, continuous broadcast.  Since we will probably be on the roof of the press box, out in the elements, protecting our equipment from the weather is a top priority.  Looking at the radar for the area, it actually looks like we might hit a pocket of dry weather during game time.  We also might be forced to either do a tape delay call or move to a remote but safe, dry location.  Just giving you a heads up!!!

The Hounds come in to this game with a 3-4 record, and are two down in district seeding play.  A Mustangs win would set up a first round playoff re-match on the first Friday in November at the MAC.  The Hounds own a win over Ludlow at Ludlow, not an easy chore.

We are looking to raise the school record bar to 9 consecutive wins to start a season, and to 10 straight (Corrected) of games actually played, dating back to the 2020 season.

Our two teams have met on 7 occasions, with the Mustangs prevailing in 4 of those, and the Hounds taking 3..  We have won the previous 3.
