Brossart Boys and Girls Golfers Punch Their Tickets Back To Richmond, Keep Their Streak of 10th Region “A” Championships Alive in Heat Shortened Tournament on Monday at A.J. Jolly

Note:  Golf is not covered by the Riherds scoreboard, which provides valuable information in other sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer and Football.  Therefore, I have to depend on info supplied on FACEBOOK, Coach Bracke or by Kari Bezold.  I will update as additional info becomes available.

On a hot, steamy, day at A.J., both our Girls and Boys Teams took care of business by winning the 2022 10th Region “A” Tournament.  Both of our teams had completed their 18 hole rounds with Brandon Bezold medaling for our guys and Sophomore Emma Laker doing the same for the girls.  A heat index stoppage with other teams on the back nine, caused the official scoring to be based on the front nine scores.  Bez posted a 75 for the 18 holes, which was trimmed to 35 officially, recorded on his first nine holes.

Sophomore Emma Laker and Senior Brandon Bezold led our two teams to the 10th Region "A" Golf Championship on Monday at A.J. Jolly Golf Course . They will compete in the All "A" State Tournament held annually in Richmond at a date not yet published by the All "A" Committee.

Brossart Senior Brandon Bezold and Nicholas County Senior Tate Letcher, shown above, have competed against each other for the past four years on the links, hardwood, and the baseball diamond.  Letcher is also the Blue Jackets football team quarterback

Our Boys Team was right back at it on Tuesday, defeating Campbell County 156-161.  We will host St. Henry on Wednesday at Hickory Sticks, and travel to Maysville on Saturday for the Mason County Invitational Tournament.
