Mustang Golfers Claim 3rd Place in NKAC DivII Meet on Tuesday at A.J. Jolly – Girls 2nd To Highlands

The varsity Boys Golf Team had a good showing in the NKAC DivII Conference Tournament finishing a respectable third behind winners St. Henry and Runnrs-up Highlands. It was a windy & rainy day and the guys did well playing in the adverse conditions.  Andrew Beck tied for medalist carding a 78 and ultimately finished tied for second after a scorecard playoff.  Griffin Schuetz  was close behind with 79, Brandon Bezold 86, Mark Owens 100. and Owen Davis 106.  At times it was a miserable day, however the guys showed a lot of spirit playing through the weather!
Two Sport Athlete Senior Andew Beck tied for Meadalist in tough conditions in the conference tourney
Andrew Beck is a two sport athlete, doubling back with the Soccer team, where he has competed in all of their 15 contests.  He is tied for their second leading scorer, knocking home 6 goals on the season.

Upcoming Senior Match Thursday vs St Henry at AJ Jolly where we will honor our three seniors:
Andrew Beck, Mark Owens, and Owen Davis.

09/28/21 Regional Golf Tournament is at Henry County Country Club.

Our girls golf team finished Division II Runners-up at the NKAC Tournament on Monday at Kenton County Pioneer Golf Course.  The team’s 403 wasn’t enough to edge out Highlands and repeat as conference champions again this year, but it was enough to top Beechwood and St. Henry who finished 3rd and 4th respectively.  Freshman Emma Laker finished third individually with an 85 and Senior Belle Ritter turned in a solid 93.  Congratulations girls and best of luck at the KHSAA Regional Tournament next week!
