The Banschees were an impressive victor in the final quarterfinals Girls game on Friday.  As billed they presented a multi-faceted offensive threat, with four double-figure scorers of 18, 16, 15 and 15, led by Carlie Thurmond.  Zoee Meyers countered with 20 to lead all scorers, that included six 3-pointers. Molly Kramer also put up double-figures with 10.  Both teams were prolific early on as the Banshees outscored our gals 24-18 in the first period, and then limited us to but 8 second quarters tallies, as we fell behind 41-26 at te half.  The two teams played ask and answer ball in the second half with the winners getting the nod 25-23.

BETHLEHEM ADVANCES TO THE FINAL FOUR WHERE THEY WILL PLAY WHITEFIELD ACADEMY IN THE 10AM GAME SATURDAY.

Boys 1st Round

Mustangs Live The School Motto, “Charity First,”  spot the Hazard Bulldogs a 12-0 lead, find ourselves down 41-21 at half, then outscore them 41-27 in second half, to come up short 68-62 in “A” State round of 16.

Following the script from the recent Scott game where we bestowed on them a 10-0 lead to begin the game, in this one, we found ourselves down 12-0 early, and as many as 21, before we reversed roles and began a comeback where we would outscore the Dawgs 41-27, and after cutting their lead to two possessions, again came up just short 68-62.  With the win, the Dawgs extend their win streak to 15, and improve to 18-2 on the season.  They will take on Covington Holy Cross at 8pm Friday.   Our Mustangs fall to 12-8.  In the contest Mason Sepate led our offense with 17.  Anthony Kruse added 14 and Brandon Bezold tacked on 11 and Woosley 9.

Girls 1st Round

LADY STANGS CLEAR FIRST 'A' STATE HURDLE, DEFEAT JACKSON COUNTY 51-42.  WILL FACE BETHLEHEM IN THE QUARTERFINALS GAME ON FRIDAY @1pm

Lady ‘Stangs come from seven down at halftime, outscore Lady Generals 34-18 in second half to advance to Friday quarterfinals – will face Bethlehem at 1:00pm, or much later. Olivia Lloyd hits four threes to lead five BB scorers (15) – Planeaux (10), Rowe (9), Meyers (9), and Kramer (8). We had 667 listeners!
