Mustangs, Camels Renew Crosstown Classic Rivalry Saturday at the Campbell County Middle School

After a year respite at the Campbell County Middle School due to the Covid pandemic, the Mustangs – Camels Crosstown Classic Rivalry Renews Saturday 

Sat. Dec. 18th

Varsity Game Broadcast at 6:40pm, Game Time is 7pm.

The Brossart and Campbell County Boys will renew their Crosstown Classic Rivalry Saturday in the Campbell County Middle School with a Tripleheader.  The Freshman games goes at 4pm, the JV teams play at 5:30pm, and the feature game tips off at 7pm.  

Brossart owns the overall series advantage 12-11.

The Camels lead the Crossstown series 5-4 over the past nine renewals, with our most recent victory coming in 2019-20 when we defeated the Camels 67-58.  In that game Ethan Eilerman and Carson Schirmer both put up 21 points, Stephen Verst added 10.  Dane Hegyl led the Camels wit 16, Jordan Gross added 15, and Ayden Hamilton, who was a freshman at the time, contributed 12.  The Mustangs lost to the Camels 64-46 a year ago.  That game was played on campus in Claryville.  The Mustangs played without Carson Schirmer who was still recovering from a broken wrist. David Govan was our leading scorer with 20 points and Stephen Verst added 18.

NFHS Network

Both the Munninghoff Family Stadium at the MAC, and the Seither Center gymnasium provides ability to watch the games online or through other streaming outlets. The games can be viewed on your computer, phones, tablets, and streaming devices (AppleTV, FireTV and Roku). We have partnered with the NFHS to make this happen.
