Mustangs capitalize on NCC turnovers, defeat the JV Breds 26-20 Saturday morning, 10-14 at the MAC

In a game which saw six lead changes, one tie and a total of 20 points scored in a matter of 31 seconds in the fourth quarter, the Mustangs emerged victorious as Eli Davis ran back an NCC kickoff 80 yards for the game-winner with 3:08 remaining in the match.  Previous scores came on a 22 yard pass play from Emmanuel Miles to Dominic Enzweiler at the 2:01 mark of the first period, giving the Breds a 6-0 advantage..  Isaac Amin intercepted a Miles pass, resulting in a 28 yard Tripp Wilson to Amin touchdown knotting the game at 6s at the half.  The home team took a 12-6 lead on a Wilson to Nick Cozzi 12 yard TD pass, the result of a pic of Miles by Mason McKinzie.  NCC drove 68 yards and scored on a 5 yard Miles to Thomas Ruschman aerial and Miles converted the two point tack-on, putting the Breds on top at 14-12.  Quinten Tischner then recovered a NCC fumble at the two yard line setting up a Finley Schultz one yard plunge, putting the Stangs on top 18-14.  19 seconds later NCC answered with a 75 yard touchdown pass from Miles to Kaden Anderson awarding  them a 20-18 edge, but on the ensuing kickoff Eli Davis returned it 80 yards for the Brossart game-winner. The game was well played and well attended.
