The Mustangs downed NCC 6-2 on Tuesday night. We scored runs in each of the first four innings, building a 5-0 lead and plated another in the sixth. The Breds answered with a run apiece in the final two innings, accounting for the 6-2 final score. We were led at the plate (again) by the Brothers Amin who were a combined 5 of 9 at the plate, scoring 3 and knocking home 3 Mustangs. Alex Amin, went 3 for 5 plate appearances that included a pair of doubles. Ben Doyle was 1 for 2, with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored.
Alex Noe was our starter and winner, going 5 2/3 innings allowing one unearned run, giving up six scattered hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. Junior Luke Bertsch came on in relief, went 1 1/3 innings allowing a run on 3 hits and striking out 3. Kolton Smith was the starter for the Breds who trotted four different pitchers to the mound in this one.
