The Polar Bears showed no signs of an All “A” State hangover, opening a 19-9 first period lead where Sophomore Blake Reed put up 10 points that  included a pair of long-range bombs.  Our guys utilized 11 of 16 free-throws to close the gap to 28-25 at intermission and we had a ballgame.  We knotted the score at 28-28 early in the second half on a Luke Schumacher three-point play.  The Bears recouped and outscored the home team 36-25 for the remainder of the game to post their 16th victory of the season against 6 losses.    The Reed Brothers accounted for 47 of the Bears 64 points.  Blake put up 27 and Cayden 20.  We were led in scoring by Mason Sepate with 17, Luke Schumacher 12, and David Govan with 10.  The Mustangs fall to 7-14.  In the game the Mustangs outscored the Bears 15-5 from the free-throw line, but were outscored 27-3 from beyond the arc.  The Mustangs are scheduled to take on Calvary Christian Thursday night in Taylor Mill, weather permitting.

Our JVs were victorious 46-31 behind a 15 point outing by Evan Orth and 10 points from Jack Poe.

Evan Orth (15) left, and Jack Poe (10) right, combine for 25 of the Mustang JVs 46 points in a 46-31 win over their Bracken County JV counterparts.  Our freshmen had defeated Bracken County earlier in the season.
