Mustangs Stats Leaders After 20 Games

Dave Schabell January 31, 2022 12:51 pm

Behind the scenes, even when vacationing in Arizona, Jeff Miller keeps our stats updated and posted on Riherds (KHSAA) in a timely manner.  He makes my job easy when writing stories for this site, and preparing for broadcasts.

Our team defensive average of 51.8 ranks 20th in the state.

David Govan is presently shooting 62.2% (117-168) from the field, ranking him Number 39 in the state in that category, and tops on our team.

Govan also leads the team in Points Scored at 277, Scoring Average at 14.58, Rebounding at 128, and Blocked Shots – 20,

To date, David has scored 739 career points.

Mason Sepate leads the team in 3-Point shots made with 36, and Steals at 34.  He also leads the team in Charges Taken with 11.  He is also our second leading shot blocker with 6.

Mason is also our second-leading scorer behind Govan with 218 Points Scored.

Brandon Bezold is currently our Assists leader, doling out 41 assists on the season.  He is our second leading 3-Point shooter, hitting 26 of them at a 43.3% clip.

He is also the leading free-throw shooter in the state, hitting a blistering 91.7%, (22-24) with one small issue, he hasn’t shot enough of them to qualify for state recognition.  Actually, he is 36 attempts short of qualifying by KHSAA standards.  Therefore, UK Signee Reed Shepherd’s 90.6% (96-106) mark is safe for now.

Logan Woosley is our leading percentage 3-Point shooter at 46.9% (15-32), and is our second leading Field Goal Percentage leader, hitting 52 of 96 from the field for 54.2%.  He and Luke Schumacher are our second leading Assists leaders with 38 apiece.

He shoots 74% from the Free-Throw line, but is another  with a short sample size at 23 of 31.

By state standards our only Free-Throw shooting qualifier (3 attempts per  game) is David Govan, who has shot 88 of them.

Luke Schumacher has stood in and taken 9 charges on the season, second best to Mason Sepate’s 11.

By our standards, Luke is our leading free-throw shooter at a 64% clip (30-47).

While David Govan is our overall leading rebounder, Luke is our leading Offensive Rebounds pace-setter, grabbing 44 of them, and is our overall second leading Rebounds leader at 103.

Luke shares second leading Assists leader honors with Logan Woosley at 38 each.

NFHS Network

Both the Munninghoff Family Stadium at the MAC, and the Seither Center gymnasium provides ability to watch the games online or through other streaming outlets. The games can be viewed on your computer, phones, tablets, and streaming devices (AppleTV, FireTV and Roku). We have partnered with the NFHS to make this happen.

This does come with a subscription fee. You may choose from a monthly or annual subscription. If you sign up via the button below, BBHS does receive a small portion of that fee.
