Mustangs start with excellent field position and marched the piggy to what appeared was destined to be an Evan Orth touchdown when the ball came out.  The Indians recovered for a touchback, and the Mustangs threat went for naught.  Neither team would mount another serious threat in the first quarter. which ended tied at 0-0

In the second stanza Junior Soccer/Footballer Tyler Smith attempted a 47 yard field-goal attempt which the film showed had the distance, but was a bit wide right..  Holy Cross marched the ball 80 yards for their only touchdown sequence of the night, capped off by a two-yard run by Trevin Figgs.  The two point conversion by Landyn Phillips  was good and we went to halftime trailing 8-0.

A bad snap on a Holy Cross punt netted the Mustangs third quarter possession at the Holy Cross 14 yard line.  Again, we appeared destined to score, and again we spit up the ball and again came up empty.  In that same quarter, Sophomore Quarterback Tyler Holtz found Senior Brayden Ketron streaking up the sideline, which Ketron caught in-stride and carried the majority of the requisite 52 yards for the Mustang score.  Again fate intervened, and Ketron fumbled the ball forward into the end zone before reaching pay dirt.  Fortunately for us, Luke Piscitello fell on the loose ball, a touchdown was ruled, and when Evan Orth completed the two-point conversion, we were knotted up at 8s.  On our first offensive series in he fourth quarter, we were intercepted to thwart another possible Brossart scoring threat.  We would get one more chance late in the game when we orchestrated a drive down to the 25 yard line, setting up Tyler Smith’s last second, 37 yard field-goal with no time showing on the clock.  The game-winner left the Mustangs the walk-off winners, and improved our season record to 3-1, heading to Lloyd Memorial next Friday night

The BMustangs.com Offensive Player of the Game was Braydon Ketron, and our Defensive Player was Junior Luke Schroeder.
