Today we celebrate our lone senior Boys Basketball Player – David Govan

David Govan has been a huge presence in our lives and program, both physically, and throughout his contributions over the past four years.

For the first time since the Swauger Classic back in December, the Mustangs made easy work of an opponent, laying over the Lewis County Lions 71-37 that was never in doubt.  Brossart led 20-4, 35-15, 51-26, and 71-37.

The first half was an exhibition of precision offense and stingy defense.  Over and again Schumacher and Govan teamed up to put on a old school give-and-go demonstration.  Seven Mustangs had put numbers on the board by halftime with the two combining for 14 of our 25 points.  Govan, our lone senior led the home team with 19 points.  Mason Sepate added 15, including a pair of 3-pointers.  Luke Schumacher and Piscitello, along with Brandon Bezold put up 8 apiece.

Lewis County Senior Logan Liles led all scorers with 28 points that included 10 of 10 from the free-throw line.  Brossart knocked home 15 of 20 charity tosses, and the Lions 13 of 15.

The Mustangs improve to 9-16 and will host both Ryle and Bourbon County Tuesday and Wednesday, before completing the regular season next Friday night at NewCath.
