Volleyball Season Gets Underway On Tuesday Amid Optimism For A Successful Season

Bree Velazquez returns for her fifth season as the head coach of the Brossart Lady ‘Stangs Volleyball program.  We will compete at the Freshman, JV and Varsity levels.

In Velazquez’s previous four seasons, her varsity team has posted an aggregate 56-55 record, that includes 10th Region “A”  Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021.  The 2022 team will be seeking a four-peat in the annual “A” Classic which will be conducted from August 22nd through 24th with the finals being held at Robertson County High School.

The varsity roster show three seniors – Jaden Butts, Savannah Seiter, and Ava Thomas.  Seiter was responsible for a team-leading 395 assists a year ago.  Both of last year’s leading scorers are now sophomores – Corrine Blackburn and Kate Neltner.  Junior Maddie Kremer brings a wealth of experience to the court having played at the varsity level for the past few seasons.

The 2022 Volleyball season will get underway Tuesday evening when we host the Walton-Verona Bearcats in Alexandria.  That night has been designated Alumni night.
