I did not realize it at the time, but Monday night was the 20th Anniversary of our first ever broadcast of Brossart basketball games. Ironically, the broadcast took place at the same spot and place that we broadcast that first ever game on December 6th, 2002 – a 58-41 Brossart victory. Bill Klopp was my partner. We’ve come a long way from the days of having to run telephone line from our broadcast spot to a live analogue phone connection. Somehow we managed and are still going strong twenty years later. No, I have no idea how many games I’ve broadcast.
In re-thinking this it is only my 19th Anniversary, but start of our 20th season of doing Brossart Broadcasts. In figuring anniversaries, the first one deesn’t count. Being single I wouldn’t know that. 🙂

Varsity Game Broadcast Replay
Our Brossart JVs introduced the Pendleton County Wildcats to Mustangs defense, limiting them to a single field goal in the first period as we built what would be, an insurmountable 12-2 lead.
Ten more points went on the board in the second stanza as we opened the lead to 22-10 at the break. The beat would go on through the second half as we added 20 additional points on the board which would give us our third early season win against a single loss. Nine players of the eleven dressed, put ink in the book led by Sam Willike and Anthony Kruse with 9 points apiece. Luke Piscitello added 7, and Keegan Gulley 5.
The JV Mustangs will return to action Friday night at 6pm on the Hilltop at Harrison County High School.
The old adage says that you can’t keep a good big dawg down. Such was the case in the first half when David Govan imposed his will against the Wildcat defense, the recipient of some slick assist work from his teammates, scoring 7 field-goals and a pair of free-throws for 14 points. He played a part of the third quarter and then took the remainder in from the sidelines, finishing his night’s work with 19 points – Woof! Woof!!!
Logan Woosley picked up right where he left off at Ludlow, nailing his first two 3-point attempts, making it 9 for 12 on the season. Wooz would hit three two pointers in the third quarter, the beneficiary of our defense forcing Wildcats’ turnovers. Logan finished the night with 15 points. Seven others would join Govan and Woosley in putting numbers on the scoreboard as the Mustangs ran off to a more-Mustanglike 64-35 victory, evening our season record at 2-2, heading to Harrison County on Friday.
