The 2020-2021 Covid pandemic would be a school and athletic year like no other. Soccer was in a rebuild, Football managed nine games in which we were the District 5 top seed, Basketball season didn’t get underway until January 4, 2021. Despite never being 100% healthy we played 24 games and were 13-11. Carson Schirmer, who missed the first 11 games, scored 1,000 points and set five school records, while Stephen Verst missed the final 9 events, yet posted three school marks.
Our girls basketball team returned six seniors, who would win 21 games including the district and regional championships, losing in double-overtime in the state tournament at Rupp in double-overtime.
Marie Kiefer would become the school’s second leading all-time scorer behind only Katie Schwegmann.
Brossart High School joined the NFHS Video network which allowed our fans to also watch games played in the SyDome and at the MAC.
