The 2023 Brossart Baseball Mustangs, feature the services of three college commits – Logan Meyer (pictured), Evan Moore, and Colin Combs. A year ago our Mustangs compiled a 17-17-1 record. We were led at the plate by Colin Combs at .396, and Evan Moore at .378. The two combined for fifteen doubles, Combs with 7 and Moore 8. Evan Moore and Colin Combs also accounted for thirteen home runs between them – Moore with 7 and Combs 6.
Mustang fans are hopeful that we will see the return of Senior Robbie Verst to the lineup. Verst missed his entire Junior season, recovering from a knee injury sustained during basketball season. A healthy Verst could bolster the infield, become a mainstay on the mound, and be a major contributor at the plate. Both Evan Moore (2.83) and Colin Combs (2.06) sported ERAs under 3.00. Other major contributors returning from the 2022 team are Alex Amin, Brandon Bezold, Sam Willike and Keegan Gulley.
