Freshmen Mustangs Draw Into Two Major Post-Season Tournaments

Will compete in this weekend’s 10th Region Tournament in Maysville and next weekend’s tip-off of the Northern Kentucky “Jack Kaelin Memorial Freshman Tournament” at CovCath.

While it seems that Parker Mulberry was just draining six 3-Pointers on Green-White Night back in November, the post-season is upon us.  Following our two final regular season scheduled games this week and a possible re-scheduled match with Holy Cross, the 10th Region Freshman Post-season Tournament will tip off this Saturday in Maysville.

This is a two-pool tournament with each of the eight teams entered playing three games on Saturday at either the old Maysville High School, or the Mason County Fieldhouse.

Our Mustans will take on Harrison County at 10am and Campbell County at 1:30pm with both of those game at Maysville High School.  They will finish out pool play at 5pm versus the host Mason County Royals at 5pm.

The Pool Play winners and runners-up will return on Sunday to play for the 10th Region Championship.

Our freshmen have also drawn into the 18 team ‘Jack Kaelin Memorial” Northern Kentucky Freshman Tournament.  This tournament gets underway on Thursday, February 3rd with two play-in games, with the main body of the tournament getting underway on Saturday, February 5th when we take on Boone County at 11:15am.  All games will be played at Covington Catholic High School.
