Fan favorite Jacob Rieger was his team’s leading scorer and MVP for three seasons – sophomore, junior, and senior year. He is the only player in our program’s history to be named the 10th Region KABC Player of the Year, which he earned in 2010. Jake played in a number of prestigious All-Star games and is only one of two players in our program’s history (the other is Alex Trentman) to receive a tryout with the Kentucky All-Stars. He was named the MVP of the NoKy East-West Senior All-Star Game.
Jacob is a member of our 1,000 Points Club.
Prior to 1986 Brossart High School had no gym of our own, but plenty of open roads and hills to utilize in developing track and cross-country runners. Diana Simon ’84 is one of those standout Track/Cross Country runners.
Diana exceled in Cross-Country running, being named All-Region and the team MVP in both 1982 and 1983. During her high school career, she won 13 career races. She was equally effective in track setting four school records.
To this day Diana has an interest in running, having most recently competed in the Flying Pig half-marathon.
Friday we will introduce Ron Heiert, who served 22 years as our Development Director, and the Team of Distinction – Our 2007, first year varsity Brossart Football Team.
