Mustangs broke open a scoreless game with 3:31 remaining in the half when Matthew Riegler finished off a drive that he set up with a long run, plunging the final yard to give the JV Stangs a 7-0 lead when Reid Thompson hit the first of five PATS on the evening.  With just 27 seconds remaining in the half, Nolan Kruse recovered a Dayton fumble setting up a 10 yard pass play from Tripp Wilson to Eli Davis resulting in a touchdown and a 14-0 halftime lead with the Thompson PAT.

The second half would see attrition take its toll as the fewer, heavier Greendevils wore down and the Mustangs pushed out to the final score of 35-0 with the result of a 15 yard keeper by Tripp Wilson, a 14 yard touchdown aerial from Wilson to Landon Ketron, and then a 1 yard touchdown by Finley Schultz capped off by Reid Thompson PATS accounted for the final score..
