April 24th
Members of the Bishop Brossart Varsity Baseball Team participated in the March at the Majors at Great American Ball Park on Sunday April 24th. The event was for all Varsity Baseball and Softball teams who participated in the 2022 Skyline Chili Reds High School Showcase this spring.
April 25th - BBHS 7, Holy Cross 3
Mustangs started off a busy week with a win over the Holy Cross Indians. It was an evening of doubles, as the boys racked up five of them on their way to a ten hit game. Mitchell Combs went 3-4 with a double. Evan Moore went 2-3 with a home run, a double and 3 RBIs. Freshman Kegan Gulley was 2 for 2 with a nice double that drove in 1 RBI. Colin Combs also added a double and an RBI. Andrew Beck went 1-3, with a double that resulted in 2 RBI. Brandon Bezold also added to the Mustangs ten hits, going 1-3 on the evening.
Starting pitcher, Logan Meyer threw 58 pitches in 2 2/3 innings, followed by 2 innings each from Ryan Ebert and Brandon Bezold.
APRIL 26th - Lady 'Stangs 3, Conner 10
The Lady ‘Stangs dropped a hard-fought game to the Conner Cougars, 3-10. Savannah Seiter went 3-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Brooke Shewmaker went 2-3, and scored twice. Up next is Simon Kenton at home on Wednesday @5:30pm.
As of last week, several ladies are on the stats leaderboard: Madelyn Kremer ranks #5 in most runs scored (22), followed by Brooke Shewmaker at #8 (20). Savannah Seiter sits at #5 in RBIs (24), followed by Brooke Shewmaker at #9 (19). Savannah Seiter is also tied at #2 in home runs (4) and Brooke Shewmaker is tied at #2 for stolen bases (17), with a .634 batting avg. And finally, Morgan Kramer ranks #6 for most strikeouts (64) & tied at #2 for most wins (6).
APRIL 26th - BBHS, @McNicholas
On Tuesday, the Mustangs headed to Paradise complex to take on the Rockets of McNicholas. Colin Combs went 2-4, while Evan Moore went 1-1, with 2 walks and 1 RBI. Freshman Keegan Gulley went 2-3, hitting another double. Brandon Bezold also added a hit of his own. Sophomore, Alex Amin was back in action and went 1-4. Unfortunately, the Mustangs were plagued with errors, posting 6 on the day.
APRIL 28th - Lady 'Stangs 8, Scott 9
Lady ‘Stangs lost a close one on Thursday to Scott, 8-9. No stats were available at the time of this post.
APRIL 29th - BBHS, @Lloyd
Mustangs win in a 16-0 blowout on Friday vs. Lloyd, with 12 hits. Colin Combs 4-4, 2HR, 4RBI, Mitchell Combs 3-4, 2B, 2RBI, Evan Moore 3-4, 3RBI, Ryan Ebert 1-2, 2B, 2RBI and Andrew Beck 1-2, 2BB, 1RBI.
APRIL 29th - Lady Stangs 4, Simon Kenton 9
April 30th - BBHS, Bourbon Co. (Senior Day)
Tough game on Senior day. Mustangs dropped one to bourbon 6-2. Alex Amin 2-2, 1RBI, Evan Moore1-2, Adam Bezold 1-2, BB, Andrew Beck 1-3, BB and Brandon Bezold 1-3.
