In a Press Release issued Wednesday morning from the Brossart High School administration, it was announced that Paul Wiggins would not return for the 2024 Brossart Football Season.
Bishop Brossart High School has announced that Paul Wiggins Jr will not be returning as Head Football Coach. Coach Wiggins who recently completed his 10th year as Head Coach took over in 2014 when the school was still in Class 2A and with only 21 players in the program. He built the team up over the next two seasons and won the school’s first District Title in 2016. Coach Wiggins would go on to win two more District Titles in 2021 and 2022 and finished with a coaching record of 67-43. Prior to his head coaching position at Brossart, Coach Wiggins was the head coach of the school’s middle school program. On behalf of the Bishop Brossart Community we would like to thank Coach Wiggins for his dedication, commitment and drive to instill a winning tradition into the program over the years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
EDITORIAL: I too would like to add my sincere appreciation to Coach Wiggins for his 10 years of dedication and commitment to the Brossart Football Program. He is passionate about Brossart football and respected by all who played for him, or worked with him in one capacity or another. I will always consider him a friend and appreciate his including me as part of his program. Brossart Football will continue on, and Paul Wiggins will always be remembered for laying the solid foundation for the bright future ahead. DS
